The Universitat de València has kicked off the 2026-2027 academic year, with an estimated 50,000 students enrolled across undergraduate, master's, doctoral, and own-title programs. Undergraduate classes have already begun for 36,970 students, reinforcing the UV's position as the top choice within the Valencian public university system.
For this academic year, the university offered 9,019 new intake places for the first year of undergraduate degrees, of which 99.7% have been filled, leaving almost full capacity for first-year students. In the coming weeks, 6,736 students will join master's and own-title programs, with 4,853 already enrolled in official master's degrees.
The registration period for doctoral studies is still open, and the final student count will be calculated from October onwards. The overall projection of 50,000 students also includes participants in exchange programs such as Erasmus, the International Program, and SICUE, as well as UV students undertaking study abroad at other universities.
The Universitat de València stands out for offering the broadest academic program within the public system, featuring 59 undergraduate degrees, 16 double degrees, over a hundred official master's programs, and around 60 doctoral programs, covering a wide range of knowledge areas.

Regarding international mobility, 2,217 Erasmus students have already arrived, surpassing last year's figure. Additionally, 101 students from the International Program and 251 from the state SICUE program are expected. The total mobility linked to the UV will exceed 5,000 individuals throughout the year, with 2,531 UV students undertaking stays at other universities.
The academic institution emphasizes that these figures reaffirm its European leadership in mobility programs, solidifying its position as one of the primary educational options for the 2026-2027 academic year.
