The Generalitat and the València City Council have ratified the Urban Planning Reconstruction Special Plan (PEUR) for the La Torre neighborhood, which includes the creation of 1,206 new public protection homes and a new health center.

The President of the Generalitat, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, and the Mayoress of València, María José Catalá, have signed the agreement promoting the construction of 1,206 public protection homes in the La Torre neighborhood. Of these, 981 will be for sale and 225 will be allocated to controlled affordable rent. The plan also includes 7,000 square meters of public facilities and the creation of a new health center.
Mayoress Catalá highlighted institutional collaboration as key to solving the housing problem, calling the agreement an example to follow. She recalled the previous investment of 11.7 million euros in the neighborhood and stressed the need to invest in both housing and quality of life.
For his part, President Pérez Llorca emphasized the importance of solving real problems and called for regulatory changes to act more efficiently in emergencies. He positively valued the communication between both administrations and extended the collaboration to other mayors, regardless of their political affiliation, to mitigate the housing problem.
