These actions are part of the conservation program developed by the Valencian Housing and Land Entity (EVHA). Regionally, the Generalitat reports a total of 806 public homes repaired since the start of the legislative term. By province, Valencia accounts for 421 actions, Alicante for 249, and Castellón for 136, with Castellón representing approximately 17% of the total.
The Conselleria has allocated 1,207,723 euros to the conservation and repair of public housing in Castellón. The average investment per home in the province is estimated at around 8,880 euros, although costs vary depending on the condition of each property. The regional average stands at approximately 11,600 euros per home.
The regional secretary for Housing, Sebastián Fernández, highlighted the importance of these actions for maintaining the public housing stock and indicated the intention to continue investing in rehabilitation and expanding the supply of protected housing.
In addition to the completed repairs, 58 homes are currently undergoing rehabilitation across the Valencian Community. Of these, four are in Castellón, 34 in Alicante, and 20 in Valencia. The plan is to make them available to citizens once the work is finished. Furthermore, 42 homes are in the valuation phase for future repairs, with two located in Castellón.
