The Alicante Provincial Council, along with its agencies Proaguas, Suma, and the Provincial Energy Agency, will participate in the first edition of the ‘ExpoUrbania’ Fair, taking place on September 15, 16, and 17.

The objective of this event, organized by the provincial institution together with the Generalitat and Fira Alacant, is to create a professional meeting space for companies, technicians, and public administrations. Innovative solutions in public works, municipal services, and public supplies will be presented to address the current needs of municipalities and territorial entities.
The Council will showcase the various aid programs and services it provides to local councils through its departments, as well as the offerings of its dependent agencies. Proaguas will have its own stand under the slogan ‘The water that connects’, where it will provide information on comprehensive solutions in infrastructure, water planning, network improvement, flood risk management, purification, reuse, and drinking water and sewage management.
Professionals from Proaguas and the Water Cycle area of the Provincial Council will deliver the presentation “Evolution of wastewater treatment and drinking water management in smaller population municipalities”. The vice-president and deputy for the area, Ana Serna, highlighted that ‘ExpoUrbania’ is an opportunity to analyze challenges and study technical solutions to improve integrated water cycle management.
Suma Tax Management will also be present with a stand where a presentation of the agency will be projected, and attendees will be shown the main functionalities of its management application. The director of Suma, José Antonio Belso, will give the talk “From operational excellence to institutional intelligence”, addressing digital transformation and the role of data and artificial intelligence in improving public decisions.
The Provincial Energy Agency will provide information on energy saving and efficiency, renewable energies, sustainability, and energy transition. It will also offer technical advice to municipalities, such as regarding the Framework Agreement on Energy or the Xorret de Catí Master Plan, and information on the agency's participation in the ALTHEA project. Additionally, small Mediterranean trees and plants will be distributed while stocks last.
