The heat episode, the second this summer, will intensify starting Monday. The State Meteorological Agency has established orange-level warnings for significant risk, with forecasts pointing to values close to 40 degrees in various coastal and pre-coastal areas. These alerts will be in effect between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
The meteorological situation will become more complicated on Tuesday, the day expected to see the peak of this episode. In parts of the southern interior of Valencia province, thermometers could reach 43 degrees. Additionally, yellow warnings have been activated for the southern interior of Castellón, the north of Valencia, and the entire coast of Alicante, where temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees.
The Department of Emergencies and Interior has issued a special warning regarding the persistence of high temperatures and tropical nights. Authorities recommend that citizens avoid direct sun exposure, stay hydrated, and exercise extra caution regarding vulnerable groups, such as the elderly and minors.
Atmospheric stability and light winds will hinder the cooling effect of sea breezes, which will accentuate the feeling of sultriness. Furthermore, a warning has been issued regarding the high risk of forest fires due to the adverse weather conditions expected until Thursday.
