Evacuations in the El Saler area of Valencia continue on Thursday due to the forest fire that has already consumed 37 hectares. The decision to extend the evacuations has been made until the situation is completely under control, as explained by the Emergency Services counselor, Juan Carlos Valderrama.
Ten aerial units and 40 ground units, with over 270 professionals deployed, are working on extinguishing the blaze. These teams prioritize containing the flames' advance and protecting inhabited areas affected by the evacuations.
The fire started on Thursday in the forest area of El Saler, near the city, affecting 37 hectares. The continuation of evacuations is based on the need to ensure public safety while the fire's perimeter is stabilized.
Valderrama emphasized that the primary objective is the protection of people and halting the fire's spread with all available resources. Evacuations will remain in effect in the areas designated by Emergency Services until technicians confirm the fire is stabilized.
