The La Fe Health Research Institute (IIS La Fe) has launched a new edition of its 'Innovative Wednesdays', a series of sessions designed for researchers and health professionals.

The main objective of this cycle is to provide tools, knowledge, and opportunities to drive innovation and facilitate the transfer of research results into the health sector. The 2026 program will feature seven sessions, held between September 30th and November 25th.
The sessions will offer a practical overview of the different stages an idea or scientific result can go through to become an innovative solution with application potential. Key challenges and opportunities in health innovation will be addressed, such as artificial intelligence in healthcare, Public Procurement of Innovation, early validation of ideas, reuse of health data, valorization and funding of scientific results, European opportunities for internationalization, and collaboration with companies.
'Innovative Wednesdays' will provide practical tools for researchers and professionals to identify opportunities, assess the potential of their ideas, understand funding and transfer pathways, and navigate the innovation process with greater confidence. The cycle will feature experts from both IIS La Fe and specialized entities in innovation, funding, and technology transfer.
The scheduled sessions include: September 30th (Artificial intelligence in health), October 7th (Public Procurement of Innovation), October 14th (Validating ideas with Lean philosophy), October 21st (Reusing health data), November 11th (Building fundable projects), November 18th (European opportunities for scaling innovations), and November 25th (Collaborating with companies).
