The Valencian Community concluded the second half of July 2026 with an average hotel occupancy of 90.2%, a 2.4-point increase compared to the same period in 2025. Confirmed reservations for the first half of August already stand at 86%, two points higher than the previous year.
Benidorm continues to be the main driver of the season, with 92.1% occupancy in the second half of July and 88.4% confirmed for the first half of August. All hotel categories in the town are surpassing last year's levels.
Other destinations in the Valencian Community also show notable improvements. Alicante Sur records 90% occupancy, with a significant jump in 3-star hotels. The Costa Blanca (excluding Benidorm) reaches 87.7%, the province of Valencia 91.1% (with 3 and 4-star hotels exceeding 92%), and the city of València registers 89.6%. The province of Castellón stands at 85.6%.
Regarding nationalities, the Spanish market remains the majority (47.9%), followed by the United Kingdom (23.7%). In Benidorm, British tourists again surpass domestic tourists as the primary source market (37.1% versus 35.9% Spanish). Portugal is reactivating as the second international origin, along with the Netherlands and France.
