The measure, which affected the service over the weekend, occurred during a period of high temperatures in the city, leaving residents without this public space to escape the heat.
According to the Nazaret Neighborhood Association, the problem stems from the proliferation of seagulls, pigeons, and doves in the complex. The group states that these birds have occupied the facility, causing constant water contamination that prevents ensuring the necessary health standards for users.
Residents have criticized the municipal management, describing recent interventions as provisional solutions that do not address structural deficiencies. Furthermore, they have demanded improvements in shading and a review of the flooring, which they consider dangerous due to falls.
Given this situation, the association has requested that the Valencia City Council and the Generalitat Valenciana implement a hygienic shock plan, including treatments for aerial fauna and pest control, as well as a definitive technical project for the pool.
