Valencia will host the premiere of 'The Last Days of Pompeii' in autumn 2026, an immersive production recreating the tragedy of Pompeii. Bombas Gens has been chosen to house this exhibition, further establishing itself as a hub for digital culture.
The museum's halls will offer a window into 79 AD using state-of-the-art technology. Visitors can learn about the Roman Empire and the daily lives of its inhabitants before the catastrophe. The exhibition features immersive projections, a metaverse environment, and rooms equipped with virtual reality (VR) headsets.
Thanks to this digital display, attendees can walk through Roman roads, access the spectacular frescoes of the Villa of Mysteries, experience the thrill of gladiator combats, and witness naval battles of the era. The experience culminates with a recreation of the exact moment Mount Vesuvius erupted.
Beyond the technological elements, Bombas Gens will also showcase a collection of original artifacts from the Roman period, alongside replicas of bodies reflecting the population's dramatic end. Tickets for this experience will go on sale in September 2026.
