FGV is currently undertaking maintenance work in the municipality of Carlet on the railway bridge crossing the River Magro. These actions are part of FGV's 2026-2030 Action Plan, which foresees over 100 interventions to renew and improve existing infrastructures on the Metrovalencia network.
The works affect the structure through which Metrovalencia Line 1 runs and are being carried out without interrupting the usual service. These interventions, which include cleaning with water jets, concrete repair, anti-carbonation surface treatment, and the installation of drainage systems, aim to extend the infrastructure's lifespan, prevent risks, and enhance railway service performance.
The contract for the conservation and surveillance of these infrastructures amounts to 3,530,024.71 euros (VAT included) and has an execution period of four years. Work has previously been carried out in municipalities such as Alberic, Moncada, L’Alcudia, Benaguasil, L’Eliana, Rafelbunyol, Albalat dels Sorells, Meliana, and Almàssera.
The 127 surface structures of Metrovalencia include bridges over rivers, viaducts, crossings over irrigation channels or roads, and other vital elements for the network. Prior to these interventions, technical inspections have been carried out to determine the necessary maintenance tasks, thereby ensuring adequate conditions of use and minimizing costs.
The network comprises 80 structures on Line 1, 22 on Line 2, 9 on Line 3, 5 on Line 4, 9 on Line 9, and 2 on Line 10. The most significant ones cross over the AP-7, the Turia River, and the V-30.
