From today until next Saturday, Villena hosts the music festival Aupa Lumbreiras!!. To ensure the event's safety, an Advanced Command Post has been set up at the municipal sports center.
The city's mayor, Fulgencio Cerdán, presided over the meeting that brought together key municipal departments such as the Local Police, the Civil Guard, the Regional Police, Firefighters, Civil Protection, and the Red Cross. The main objective is to unify preventive and response protocols for any emergency or risk situation that may arise during the festival days.
The mayor highlighted the importance of ensuring the safety of the public, workers, and artists, as well as minimizing any risks to the rest of the citizens. Given the volume of people attending festivals in Villena each August, it is considered essential to anticipate possible situations to the fullest and ensure a rapid and coordinated response among all involved agencies.
