Firefighters from the Castellón consortium have reported that the wildfire in Soneixa, in the Alto Palancia region, is stabilized, although it is not yet under control.

The extinguishing operation involves 300 personnel on the ground and the support of eleven aerial units. Throughout the day, the port of Sagunto remained closed to maritime traffic to facilitate water-loading tasks for the aircraft operating in the area.
According to data provided by the Consell, the fire has affected 181 hectares within an 8,300-meter perimeter. Thermal inversion has been a key factor in containing the flames, although authorities remain cautious regarding the potential arrival of stronger winds.
The 500 residents of Azuébar, who were evacuated yesterday, will spend another night away from their homes. The Generalitat has activated the level 3 pre-emergency status, the highest level, which prohibits travel on forest tracks and the use of fire in forest-adjacent areas until Thursday.

"Thermal inversion kept the smoke over the fire, which has allowed it to be more or less contained."
