The Ibi City Council, through the Youth Department, and the Aminoaël Role-Playing Club present the third edition of the IBICON conventions, an event dedicated to geek culture, anime, and manga. The gathering will take place on October 24th and 25th at the Salvador Miró Cultural Center.
The event, which has already established itself as a benchmark in the town's cultural and social calendar, will bring together hundreds of fans of these themes. The convention will offer a wide range of activities and artistic proposals, including video games, workshops, crafts, book presentations, exhibitions, role-playing games, game libraries, demonstrations, storytelling, and talks on topics such as Japan, graphic adventures, and authors. This year, IBICON will also host talks by professional voice actors from film, video games, and television, as well as the first edition of the Idol Contest.
Attendees can also enjoy the Cosplay contest, raffles, and purchase merchandise related to anime, manga, and games. Additionally, there will be opportunities to try out the latest video games, including "demo" versions, and enjoy modern board games, designed as an alternative for family entertainment.
The Deputy Mayor for Youth, Montse Agulló, highlighted the event's importance in establishing itself as an alternative leisure activity. She thanked the involvement of the Aminoaël Role-Playing Club, the main organizer, and pointed out the high demand from exhibitors, with 30 confirmed participants and many more on the waiting list, demonstrating the success of the organization. Agulló acknowledged the club's vitality and its contribution to youth leisure and the town's associative network.
