With the aim of ensuring safety and preventing potential aggressions, particularly towards women and vulnerable groups such as the LGTBIQ+ community, the Ibi City Council, through its Equality and Diversity departments, and with the support of the Red Cross from Ibi, Onil, Castalla, and Tibi, will once again launch the Purple Points. These awareness and prevention initiatives will be operational during the Moros y Cristianos Major Festivities, held from September 11th to 13th, as well as during the preliminary events starting in late August.
The Purple Points will be available from Friday, August 28th, coinciding with the Correfocs (fire run), located on Manuel Soler street from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM. On Saturday, August 29th, a similar point will be set up at the concert in the Glorieta de España, on Reyes Católicos street, from 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM. During the days of the comparsas' parades (entraetes), on September 4th, 6th, and 9th, citizens can find the Purple Point on Les Eres street, between the Piratas bar and the City Council, with varied hours.
Other key moments to access these preventive spaces include the Verbena del Fester (Festival Night) on Saturday, September 5th, from approximately 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM in the Fábrica Rico square. During the main festival days, on September 10th (Olleta Day), from approximately 10:30 PM to 2:30 AM on Manuel Soler street, and on September 11th, 12th, and 13th, from 11:30 PM to 3:30 AM, again in the Fábrica Rico square.
