The initiative "Improve the Batoi pool and sports court," which was the most voted investment proposal, has resulted in the purchase and installation of 10 anti-vandalism benches, replacing deteriorated ones, and the placement of lockers for pool users.
The main entrance to the facility has also been addressed, with the rehabilitation of the entrance and railing, and the renewal of the Batoi Sports Center sign, aiming to improve its condition and image.
The Councilor for Participation and Childhood, Aroa Mira, highlighted that these actions demonstrate the direct impact of children's proposals on the city, allowing minors to identify needs and participate in investment decisions.
Mira indicated that the most immediate actions were prioritized, but work will continue to incorporate further improvements in this municipal space, responding to the needs raised by the children themselves.
The 2025 Participatory Budgets for Children involved 340 students, with 20,000 euros allocated to investment proposals and 5,000 euros for current expenses.
