The city of Alcoy will host the inaugural Pujada als Plans on Saturday, November 21st, a new sporting event joining the CursaAlcoi circuit with a charitable component.

The Pujada als Plans, organized by the local entity Cabras Locas Alcoy, makes its debut this year in the city and joins CursaAlcoi, a circuit that already features 13 annual events. The new race aims to highlight the natural surroundings of Els Plans, offering participants a challenging and technical experience, designed with a special focus on safety and participant health.
The competition will feature three modalities: a main race of 35 kilometers with 1,400 meters of positive elevation gain, a 'mitja Pujada' (half Pujada) of 16 kilometers with 700 meters of elevation gain, and a trekking and Nordic walking event of 9.5 kilometers with 400 meters of elevation gain. The longest distance route is particularly technical, designed for participants to enjoy the spectacular natural landscape of the area.
Both the start and finish lines for all modalities will be located at the athletics track of the Poliesportiu Municipal Francisco Laporta. The 35km race will commence at 8:00 AM, while the 16km event will start at 9:30 AM.
Beyond its sporting aspect, the Pujada als Plans will have a significant charitable focus. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Gormaget and the Sanchis Banús Special Education Center in Ibi, supporting the work carried out by these two organizations.
Registration to participate is now open through the RockTheSport platform. With this new addition, CursaAlcoi expands its offering to 14 events, reinforcing its commitment to running and other mountain sports in the city.
