The design, by Rosanna Crespo and Quique Soler, the same artists who created the office's previous image over thirty years ago, incorporates elements linked to the city's identity. Specifically, it references the guardian angel present in Alcoi's coat of arms and flag.
The wings of the new logo form a V, referencing Valencian, and symbolically represent the Office's role as a guardian of the language.
“"The design conveys the idea that the Office is 'the guardian of Valencian,' with the responsibility to work so that the language grows and is not lost. Our language is our identity, and Valencian lives if we speak it."
Councillor for Linguistic Normalization, Teresa Sanjuán, thanked the designers for their work and their connection to the Office. The new image is already featured in the 'auca' (illustrated chronicle) for the 750th anniversary of the Battle of Alcoi and will be incorporated into the Promotion Office's publications and outreach materials.
