Alcoy participated in the Innpulso Emprende 2026 event, accompanying the technology company Nolost Tech, based in the Rodes Urban Technology Park, to support its project and promote local entrepreneurial talent.

The Alcoy City Council was present at the Innpulso Emprende 2026 event, alongside Nolost Tech, a technology company located in the Rodes Urban Technology Park and an active participant in the city's Urban Sandbox. This meeting, organized by the Network of Science and Innovation Cities of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, served to support Nolost Tech's project and promote the entrepreneurial talent growing around Rodes.
The event brought together municipal representatives and innovative companies from various Spanish locations with the aim of sharing projects and fostering collaboration between cities and businesses. Although Nolost Tech was not a winner, its participation allowed for showcasing Alcoy's innovation model, which combines spaces for business development with opportunities to experiment with new technologies in real-world conditions.
Nolost Tech develops its own technological solutions. One of its notable projects is a platform based on QR identifiers that enables simple and private connection between the finder of an object and its owner, without requiring app installation or public disclosure of personal data.
The mayor of Alcoy and Councilor for Innovation, Toni Francés, emphasized that "we selected Nolost Tech because it strongly represents the innovation model we are promoting in Alcoy: a technology company located in our Rodes Urban Technology Park, which also participates in our Urban Sandbox, using the city as a space to test and develop innovative solutions in a real environment".
Francés added that "it is precisely this entrepreneurial talent, connected to the city and capable of experimenting, growing, and taking its solutions beyond Alcoy, that we want to support and make visible through the Innpulso Network".
The support for Nolost Tech is part of the municipal effort to assist innovative companies and facilitate their projection beyond the city. Their trajectory integrates two key instruments of this strategy: Rodes, as a space for business activity and the convergence of entrepreneurship, technology, and knowledge, and the Urban Sandbox, which facilitates the testing and validation of solutions in collaboration with the City Council.
This experimentation environment allows companies, universities, and technology centers to develop projects under real conditions before their application in other territories. In Nolost Tech's case, the connection between both spaces enables them to conduct their activities from Rodes and test their solutions within the city itself.
Participation in Innpulso Emprende also strengthens Alcoy's work within the Innpulso Network, where it collaborates with other Spanish municipalities in promoting local science and innovation policies and exchanging experiences to foster the development of the business fabric.
