The Alcoy City Council has extended the deadline for submitting works to the «Miradas que transforman Alcoy» photography contest, focused on European investments, until December 4th.

The council has decided to extend the submission deadline for photographs, with the verdict to be announced on December 17th. The exhibition of selected works is scheduled to open on January 13th, 2027, at the Rodes Urban Technology Park.
This event, initially linked to the Annual European Funds Act which was cancelled due to the early election, maintains its objective of showcasing projects developed in the city with European funding. The contest's continuation also addresses the information and visibility obligations required by European Union funds.
The competition aims to illustrate, through photography, projects financed by Europe and their impact on urban transformation, sustainability, culture, and the improvement of Alcoy's public services. Featured projects that can inspire submissions include the renovation of the southern access, the Camilo Sesto Museum, the Municipal Art Gallery, and interventions related to sustainable mobility.
The contest is open to individuals residing in Spain and accepts collections of four photographs (maximum two per author) or individual works (maximum four). Color or black and white photographs are accepted, as well as photomontages and photocollages. Images generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted.
Works must be submitted in person or sent to IVAM CADA ALCOI, located at Carrer Rigoberto Albors, 8.
