The company Xúquer-Arquing will have four months to prepare the necessary documentation. The contract, initially put out to tender for 150,000 euros (VAT included), has finally been awarded for 65,775 euros, attracting 20 business offers. This is the second tender for the contract, as the first was temporarily suspended due to potential errors in the award criteria.
The project for covering the municipal swimming pool, based on the basic project developed by the Architecture department of the Xixona City Council, also includes the creation of a reception hall, new changing rooms, associated service areas (storage, technical rooms, cleaning, etc.), and the construction of a new outdoor children's pool.
The main objective of this refurbishment is to allow the pool to be used year-round, as, according to the project, neighboring municipalities also lack similar infrastructure. The intervention area, located within the municipal sports complex, will cover a surface area of 2,370 square meters.
