The incident took place around kilometer 22 of the Alicante municipal area. The emergency services were notified at 15:15, at which point several SAMU units and Basic Life Support teams were mobilized to attend to those affected.
As a result of the collision, three people required medical assistance. A 46-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were taken to Sant Joan Hospital for medical care. Sadly, a 50-year-old man lost his life at the scene.
