The San Vicente del Raspeig City Council has deployed a special cleaning operation for the Hogueras and Barracas Festivals, reinforcing the service with more staff, machinery, and a public awareness campaign.

For the Hogueras and Barracas Festivals, the San Vicente del Raspeig City Council has launched a special cleaning operation significantly increasing the service throughout the festive program. This initiative includes a dedicated brigade of drivers and laborers, supported by advanced machinery, to ensure an immediate response to any needs.
The extraordinary plan, which involves reinforcing the service with additional personnel and machinery, will reach its peak intensity during the Mascletàs on July 17, 18, and 19, and after the Ofrenda. During these times, specific teams for washing, water tanks, and sweeping machines will be deployed. Following the Cremà, a comprehensive cleaning of the urban center will be carried out, divided into four sectors, with over 20 operators and heavy machinery to ensure the rapid restoration of normality in the streets.
Mayor Pachi Pascual highlighted that this year, a more efficient service is expected thanks to the new Street Cleaning and Waste Collection service, featuring more and better machinery. Concurrently, a specific waste management plan has been implemented, including the installation of approximately 95 additional mobile containers for barracas and racós, and the relocation of container islands to strategic points.
The councilor for the area, Antonio Díaz, stated that the operation is the most ambitious to date for the Hogueras, aiming to ensure citizens experience the festivals in a clean and well-maintained city. He publicly thanked the operators for their work and requested citizen cooperation.
As part of the deployment, an awareness campaign has been launched on social media and street-level platforms under the slogan «San Vicente is your home, let's take care of it this Hogueras». This initiative aims to educate on good practices and the importance of caring for the municipality, as well as highlighting the efforts of the cleaning staff.
