The Governing Team of the San Vicente del Raspeig City Council has initiated the selection process to fill 11 officer positions within the Local Police. Of these, 6 will be through free competition and 5 through mobility. The Local Government Board has approved the call for applications and the specific regulations that will govern this process.
The Councilor for Human Resources, Óscar Lillo, explained that the new offer incorporates 8 new positions and 3 intended to cover vacancies generated by internal processes, such as retirements or leaves of absence. Lillo provided a positive assessment of the progress made in the last three years, a period during which the Local Police force has been strengthened with eight new officers and eight permanent official positions have been filled.
According to Lillo, this increase in officers is necessary to meet the needs of a constantly growing city. With this new call for applications, the aim is to consolidate and expand the Local Police force, thereby fulfilling the commitment to improve security.
Following the approval by the Government Board, the next step will be the publication of the call for applications in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP), scheduled for the coming days, and subsequently in the Official State Gazette (BOE). From that point, the registration period for interested candidates will open.
The Councilor for Security, Adrián García, expressed his satisfaction with the momentum given to this call for applications, which is complemented by the annual increase and updating of resources available to the security force. García confirmed that the Government Board has also approved the request for a subsidy to acquire bulletproof vests.
