The owner of a country house in the province of Alicante discovered two of his stolen motorcycles advertised on a well-known second-hand marketplace app. This finding was crucial for the Civil Guard, who have arrested a man in Monóvar as the suspected perpetrator of the home invasion. The operation, named “Sotom Saj,” has led to the recovery of three of the four stolen bikes, as well as tools, appliances, and other belongings.
The investigation began after the owner reported a burglary at his country house. He stated that unknown individuals had gained access to the property by forcing a window. Inside the house, the thieves stole various tools, electronic devices, patio furniture, and the four motorcycles. The Investigation Area of the Sax Post took charge of the case to locate the stolen goods and clarify the events.
Shortly after the theft, the owner found two of his motorcycles for sale online. By contacting the seller to arrange a meeting, officers identified and arrested the man offering the vehicles, recovering one of the motorcycles. Verification of the frame number confirmed it was one of the bikes reported stolen.
Subsequently, the Civil Guard searched the detainee's residence, where they found numerous power tools, small appliances, a helmet, and an electric scooter, among other items related to the theft. Additionally, two more motorcycles were located near the arrest site, bringing the total recovered to three out of the four reported stolen.
All recovered items, including the motorcycles, tools, and other belongings, have been returned to their rightful owner. The detainee has been released, and the proceedings for alleged theft have been forwarded to the Court of First Instance in Novelda.
