From July 6th to August 21st, participants enjoyed an educational and formative program combining historical learning with games and animation, held in the didactic classroom, gardens, and museum halls, including the temporary exhibition ‘Gold and the Universe. Indigenous Knowledge of Colombia’.
The Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, highlighted that the adapted workshops and visits allowed children to immerse themselves in pre-Hispanic Colombian culture and discover the legacy of indigenous knowledge. He emphasized that the activities foster creativity, as participants create replicas of exhibited pieces.
Through clue games and scavenger hunts, the cultural immersion of young people was promoted, connecting them with the customs and pre-Hispanic civilizations of the exhibition. Workshops included activities such as Zenú pottery stamps, face painting, necklace making, cooperative games, and the creation of pieces like bracelets or funerary masks.
Juan de Dios Navarro pointed out that ‘Veranea en el MARQ’ successfully combines a format of learning through fun, a formula that has been effective for 22 years and has become a key tool for bringing historical heritage closer to new generations.
