According to Aemet, the weather situation will affect coastal areas most intensely. The persistent westerly wind will favor a very hot and dry environment as it arrives from the interior of the peninsula, causing temperatures to soar during the central hours of the day.
In addition to the red warning, an orange level has been established for the interior of the province of Alicante and its southern coast. In these areas, authorities expect maximums of up to 43 degrees, which implies a significant risk to the population.
Given this situation, described as very adverse for Wednesday and Thursday, emergency services recommend taking extreme precautions. It is essential to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, maintain constant hydration, and pay special attention to vulnerable groups, such as children and the elderly.
