Applications will be received in person at the Casa de la Festa Manuel Ricarte. The submission period will open at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 10th, and close at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24th. Required documentation includes the front and back of the sketches, as well as the bonfire models.
The received proposals will be evaluated by a jury to be appointed in the coming weeks. The winning models are expected to be publicly announced in early September, after the jury's verdict.
The budget allocated by the Alicante City Council for the 2027 official bonfires remains the same as in recent years, totaling 143,500 euros. Of this amount, 118,500 euros are designated for the adult bonfire and 25,000 euros for the child bonfire.
The adult official bonfire must not exceed 20 meters in height or 12x12 meters in base, with these dimensions not coinciding. The primary materials will be cardboard and wood. The descriptive plaques must be written in Spanish and Valencian, and the minimum number of original ninots will be 28. Its setup must be completed by 6:00 AM on June 21st.
Meanwhile, the child bonfire must not exceed three meters in height or 3x3 meters in base. It will also be constructed with cardboard and wood, and the plaques will follow the same characteristics as the adult bonfire. The minimum number of ninots will be 18. The setup of the child bonfire must be completed by 6:00 AM on June 20th.
The jury's evaluation criteria will be based on creativity, balance, proportionality, originality, as well as modeling, color scheme, and critical content of the proposals.
