The University of Alicante has been designated to host, next February, the VI national meeting of the Student Affairs sector of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities, CRUE.

The meeting will take place on February 1 and 2 on the Alicante campus and will be attended by representatives from the sector's various working groups, chaired by the rector of the University of Almería, José Joaquín Céspedes.
The announcement of the meeting's next venue occurred during the celebration of workshops on Access and Admission organized within the sector, held on October 22 and 23 at the University of La Laguna. Representing the UA were the Vice-Rector for Students and Employment, Raúl Ruiz Callado, and the Deputy Vice-Rector for Access and University Orientation, Juan Matías Sepulcre Martínez.
On this occasion, the workshops focused on the need to continue advancing towards common criteria that promote equity and equal opportunities in university access.
The Student Affairs sector is composed of six working groups: scholarships; sport, culture, and university life; diversity and disability; student participation, student guidance, and employment.
