Twelve entrepreneurial projects from the University of Alicante participated in a workshop to learn the criteria Lanzadera uses to select initiatives with growth potential.

The University of Alicante (UA) hosted a workshop where twelve entrepreneurial projects, from diverse sectors and in various development stages, received guidance to boost their businesses' growth. The event, titled "From Potential to Growth. What Your Project Needs to Enter an Accelerator", was organized by the UA's Employment Center and Lanzadera, the business accelerator promoted by Juan Roig.
The session, held at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, allowed attendees to analyze the main criteria Lanzadera considers for selecting potential projects and how to prepare a strong application. Participants included entrepreneurs with projects beyond the idea phase, as well as established companies seeking to grow and consolidate their business models.
Among the presented initiatives were B2B solutions, AI-driven automation tools, legaltech software, projects for clinical psychology practice, hospitality, cultural tourism, language learning, university mobility, family leisure, scientific outreach, and memory organization. Artificial intelligence was a notable feature in many proposals, spanning from early stages to companies with up to seven years of history.
Patricia Cháfer Tormo, Head of Partners and Recruitment Manager at Lanzadera, detailed the key evaluation criteria, including the founding team and their dedication, business traction and revenue, business model scalability, and partners' commitment to the initiative's growth. These factors help assess the team's capability, market opportunity, and growth potential.
The workshop is part of the entrepreneurship support actions by the University of Alicante, through UAemprende and the Employment Center, and the UnnovA project, in collaboration with the Generalitat Valenciana, via the Conselleria d'Indústria, Turisme, Innovació i Comerç.
