Josep Vicent, who also leads the ADDA Symphony Orchestra and the Argovia Philharmonic in Switzerland, received this recognition during the celebration of the grape harvest, an event that DOP Alicante organizes annually in different municipalities and wineries within its designation.
The event, held at the historic Heretat de Cesilia estate, was attended by the president of DOP Alicante, Jose Juan Reus, as well as the deputy government delegate in Alicante, the Director General of Agricultural and Livestock Production of the Generalitat Valenciana, the mayor of Novelda, local residents, and provincial deputies.
Vicent's ability to coordinate individual talents was highlighted, drawing a parallel to the synergy between vineyard, winery, and sommeliers to create an excellent wine. His contribution to establishing and enhancing the orchestra and programming at the ADDA, considered a significant cultural achievement for the province, was also acknowledged.
With this appointment, Josep Vicent joins a distinguished list of godfathers for the DOP Alicante harvests, which includes figures from the worlds of sports, music, science, painting, cuisine, and acting.
