The Castellón Provincial Council is promoting the training of young bullfighters with the celebration of two bullfighting events in Benassal and Morella, which will also serve to pay tribute to the bullfighter José Emilio Ibáñez García, known as ‘Josele’.

The Reception Hall hosted the official presentation of the posters for these two events. The deputy for the Bullfighting School, David Vicente, highlighted that these events are a fundamental opportunity for young bullfighters to take a step forward in their training and demonstrate the results of years of effort and dedication.
The town of Benassal, located in the Alt Maestrat region, will host the V ‘Avellana de Oro’ Trophy on September 4th at 5:30 PM, with young bulls from La Lucica. Meanwhile, Morella will host the III ‘Castell de Morella’ Trophy on September 13th, at the same time, as part of the 788th Fira de Morella, featuring bulls from Aurelio Hernando.
Furthermore, the provincial deputy announced that on September 6th, a tribute will be held in Benassal to the bullfighter José Emilio Ibáñez García, ‘Josele’, a figure who remains very present in the bullfighting world. This day will serve to remember his legacy and thank his contribution to the sport.
