The gathering, called by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and joined by the Novelda City Council, began at 8:00 PM in a predominantly calm and civic atmosphere. Attendees asserted Ceuta's Spanish identity with slogans like “Ceuta is not for sale, Ceuta is defended” and messages of support for Spain.
The serene nature of the gathering was briefly interrupted by insults directed at the President of the Government and calls for his resignation.
Representatives of the Socialist Party, led by Mayor Fran Martinez, along with council members from the Popular Party and Vox, participated in the event.
With this call, Novelda joined FEMP's plea to convey support and solidarity to the people of Ceuta during this challenging time.
