The Youth Department of Elda City Council has reported that over 1,000 young people from the municipality have participated in its initiatives between January and July, with significant demand in training, healthy leisure, and mental health.

The Youth Department of Elda City Council has reviewed the initiatives launched this year, highlighting the strong response to its courses, workshops, and personalized support services. In total, over 1,000 young people from the municipality participated in the various scheduled activities or utilized the department's resources between January and July.
The Councilor for Youth, Anabel García, positively assessed these figures: "Our commitment is to offer Elda's youth not only leisure and training alternatives that enrich their free time but also safe spaces where they feel heard and supported. We want them to be the true protagonists of their personal, cultural, and social development."
"Especially this year, we have placed great emphasis on mental health through projects like Conecta2," added the councilor. "We know that young people face complex challenges, and from the City Council, we want to provide them with real and accessible tools, such as our free psychological guidance point, to help them build a solid emotional foundation and strengthen their resilience."
Among the completed activities, the MAT (Monitor/a of Children's and Youth Educational Leisure Activities) course concluded on July 24th with 34 students, training them to develop educational activities in leisure time. The Specialist in Beauty (Nails and Makeup) course was also offered, with 16 students, as part of the Young Talent Program.
Regarding leisure, culture, and personal development, the Young Leisure Club gathered 25 participants in its summer edition, promoting coexistence and healthy habits. The Young Theater Workshop has 14 participants working on aspects like dramatization and self-esteem.
In citizen participation, the CLÍA (Local Council for Children and Youth) integrates 31 children and young people, and the Youth Correspondents program connects the Youth Information Service with educational centers to share relevant information.
In mental health, the Conecta2 project has exceeded 300 sessions through its free Youth Psychological Guidance Point, aimed at young people aged 14 to 30.
The Youth Information Service (SIJ) has assisted 663 people from January to July with inquiries about scholarships, employment, housing, civil service exams, and volunteering. Additionally, it facilitates the processing of the Carnet Jove, the Young Summer Transport Voucher, and the Cultural Voucher.
