The start of the 2026-27 school year in Elda has registered significant enrollment numbers, once again surpassing 10,000 students in the city's educational centers. The area's councilor, María Gisbert, presented the provisional statistics, indicating a provisional total of 10,461 students.
The data shows an increase in Early Childhood and Primary Education, with 4,711 students enrolled. In Secondary Education levels, the figure stabilizes around 2,401 students, while there will be approximately 500 in Baccalaureate. Regarding Vocational Training (FP), the number of students is expected to approach 2,500. Gisbert noted that these figures are provisional and enrollments will continue to be formalized in the coming days.
Added to these numbers are the students from Special Education at the CEE Miguel de Cervantes, which already has over a hundred registrations, those from the Official School of Languages, currently in its second enrollment period, and students from the EPA Antonio Porpetta, which anticipates around 300 students and will keep enrollment open until November.
In total, the student population in Elda's non-university educational centers for this academic year will exceed 13,000 people.
Councilor María Gisbert expressed her gratitude to the entire educational community, including teachers, students, families, administrative and service staff, and the Councilor's team, for the collective effort that has enabled such a smooth start to the academic year.
