“"We want our Major Festivals to be a space for free celebration, where all people, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, can enjoy the festive atmosphere with complete peace of mind. The Violet and Rainbow Points not only serve as spaces for immediate response and intervention but also as key tools for awareness and visibility of diversity."

The Elda City Council will establish a Violet Point and a Rainbow Point at the Almafrá esplanade during the 2026 Major Festival concerts, providing support and prevention against aggressions.
With the aim of ensuring safe and inclusive festivities, the Elda City Council's Department of Equality and Women will launch a joint Violet Point and Rainbow Point initiative. This setup will be located within the music venue on the Almafrá esplanade, coinciding with the 2026 Major Festival celebrations.
Technical staff will provide attention, information, and public awareness on the prevention of sexist and LGTBIfobic aggressions. The nighttime service will operate from 11:30 PM to 2:30 AM on the nights of September 5th, 7th, and 8th, coinciding with peak attendance at the scheduled concerts.
The operation will be closely coordinated with Local and National Police forces. This collaboration will enable swift and effective action in response to any incidents or risky situations that may arise.
Councillor for Equality and Women, María Gisbert, highlighted the municipal commitment to safe festivities. She emphasized the importance of preventive work and inter-departmental collaboration, thanking the security forces for their cooperation. "The sum of our efforts allows us to guarantee a safe environment and send a clear message: in Elda, there is no room for any type of sexist or LGTBIfobic aggression or discrimination," she stated.
