The commemoration recognizes the work of proximity businesses that contribute to the local economy and the vibrancy of the streets as meeting places. The campaign emphasizes the close and personalized attention offered by the city's establishments, a message aligned with the department's continuous work in collaboration with merchant associations and other administrations.
The Councilor for Commerce and Markets, Silvia Ibáñez, detailed that initiatives include boosting ‘Elda Centro Histórico’ and promoting commercial areas such as ‘Elda Centro Comercial’, ‘Las 3 Avenidas’, and ‘Gran Avenida’. Additionally, seasonal campaigns, promotional actions for municipal markets, and proposals like ‘Muévete por Elda y Compra’ are carried out to facilitate and encourage shopping in the city.
The program also includes activities to attract visitors and generate business opportunities, such as the Zoco de Moros y Cristianos, the La Inmaculada market, the Christmas Market, and events in the Plaza Mayor, including the Feria de Abril and Oktoberfest. Notably, the Elda Shopping Night reaches its third edition with over 100 participating establishments. The department is also preparing a new call for Elda Bono Consumo.
This work is complemented by collaboration agreements with local merchant associations, specialized advice from the AFIC office, and continuous information provided by the department to the sector through the Portal del Comerciante de Elda. The social media channels of Commerce and Markets, @comercioelda, also reinforce the dissemination of initiatives.
“"On the occasion of Local Commerce Day, from the City Council we invite citizens to choose Elda's establishments and markets and to continue enjoying a local, diverse, and committed commercial offering for the city."
