The initiative, driven by the Education and Equality departments, is co-financed by funds from the 2026 Corresponsables Plan of the Ministry of Equality and the Generalitat Valenciana. Its main objective is to raise awareness about the need for an equitable distribution of domestic and care tasks among all family members.
The campaign includes the dissemination of three humorous awareness videos showcasing different family types and their daily challenges. The core tool is a board game called ‘Hogares a flote’, designed to assign household chores and establish rewards, helping to understand the distribution of responsibilities and the mental load often carried by women.
Councilwoman María Gisbert explained that the game allows for understanding the tasks undertaken by each family member. Marta Ríos, from Agencia Ternura, detailed that the game begins with a task distribution and a reward for the first to reach the port after completing them and helping other family members.
The official campaign launch will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, at 7:00 PM in the Salones Princesa in Elda. 250 units of the board game will be distributed among attendees while supplies last, at a rate of one game per family.
