The 'Aula Gran Actíva’t' initiative by the L'Eliana City Council kicks off its 2026/2027 program, offering a wide variety of free training workshops. These activities, designed to promote active aging and improve the quality of life for older adults, will take place from September to June.
The program includes ActivaMENT, for memory exercises and keeping the mind active, with different groups throughout the week, as well as specific cognitive stimulation sessions for individuals with suspected or diagnosed neurodegenerative disease.
Regarding physical well-being, ActivaCOS is proposed, focused on exercise and improving physical condition, and ActivaiBALLA, for working on movement and choreography. Music will also be a focus with ActivaiMÚSICAiMENT, which will use it as a conductor to stimulate the mind.
Creativity and expression will be fostered with ActivaART, dedicated to painting and modeling techniques; ActivaiPUNT, focused on basic pattern making and sewing; and ActivaiACCIÓ, for working on theatrical and body expression techniques.
Completing the program, ActivaiESCRIU will offer mental exercises through words and text creation, while ActivaiJOC will use board games for cognitive stimulation. Most workshops will be held at the Sociocultural Center, the Senior Center, and the Music House.
The Municipal Center for Adult Education (CMFPA) will also offer workshops on active memory, reading, office software, basic digital skills, computer introduction, and English (levels A1, A1+ and A2). Registrations will take place at the center on Tuesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
The Health Center will collaborate with the 'Healthy Walks. Health Step by Step' initiative, group walks accompanied by nursing and physiotherapy staff, which will depart every Friday from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM from the parking lot, with no prior registration required.
All activities are free and have limited places, preferably for registered residents, retirees, those over 65, or pensioners. To complete registration, the Citizen Card will be required. Registrations for the workshops are made at Social Services, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
