The Urban Planning department of Riba-roja de Túria has launched new initiatives to enhance the safety of existing buildings in the municipality and adapt them to current regulations. These actions also aim to improve internal safety standards for properties.
A total of 100,000 euros is allocated for facade rehabilitation. The subsidy will cover 50% of the protected budget for each project, with a maximum of 2,000 euros per individual dwelling and up to 8,000 euros for multi-family buildings. Eligible works include repairs to coatings, painting, ornamental elements to conceal pipes and wiring, and rehabilitation of external enclosures for isolated homes, provided materials and colors harmonize with the surroundings.
A sum of 30,000 euros is dedicated to improving accessibility in buildings occupied by individuals over 65 years old or with a disability rating exceeding 33%. The subsidy will also be 50% of the budget, with a maximum of 2,000 euros per action and 6,000 euros per dwelling. For common areas in multi-family buildings, the maximum will also be 6,000 euros. Works include the installation of technical aids, such as replacing bathtubs with showers or installing luminous or audible signals.
Finally, aid will be granted for the implementation of evaluation reports for buildings over 20 years old with predominant residential use. These reports will analyze accessibility, energy efficiency, and the state of conservation. The maximum subsidy will be 300 euros for single-family homes and for the first dwelling in multi-family buildings, with an additional 50 euros for each subsequent dwelling, not exceeding 1,000 euros per building or 50% of the report's cost.

The Councilor for Urban Planning, Teresa Pozuelo, highlighted that these aids not only improve safety and accessibility but also stimulate the local economy, estimating an economic movement exceeding 700,000 euros in the municipality's productive sector.
