The City Council of L'Eliana has requested Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) to provide prior notification of any modifications to the pedestrian crossing signage at the metro station, in order to communicate the changes to the public.

The municipal request comes after the recent replacement of the previous signage, which indicated passage prohibited except for station users, with a new message: "Attention to the train. Crossing associated with railway service." The City Council has pointed out that none of these changes were previously communicated to the council.
The mayor, Salva Torrent, has formally requested, on behalf of the local administration, that any modification to the signage or the conditions of use of this space be informed in advance, based on the principles of cooperation between administrations. Torrent has highlighted that these changes directly affect the daily mobility of residents, who have the right to know about any changes before they occur.
This demand is part of the City Council's efforts to recover an adequate solution for the historic pedestrian crossing at the station, used for over 130 years as a connection between different areas of the municipality. The council has repeatedly warned of the inconvenience its closure causes to daily mobility, forcing elderly people, schoolchildren, and families to travel more than half a kilometer extra per trip.
Recently, the municipal request received the support of the Consell Jurídic Consultiu (CJC), which suggested that the Generalitat study the incorporation of the crossing into the catalog of pedestrian level crossings with the necessary safety measures. Subsequently, the GVA announced the start of technical studies to analyze alternatives that improve the municipality's permeability, such as an underpass, a footbridge, or the proposed track-sinking by the council.
The City Council maintains its commitment to continue working towards a safe, accessible solution compatible with mobility needs, advocating for a proposal that guarantees safety while also considering the reality and mobility rights of the residents of L'Eliana.
