Bétera has revealed its main representatives for the 2027 Les Alfàbegues Festival. The chosen individuals are Daniela Català Aparisi (First Single 'Obrera'), Mabel Arnal Giménez (First Married 'Obrera'), Alejandra Campos García (Second Single 'Obrera'), and María Cáceres Soriano (Second Married 'Obrera'). The announcement was made on August 22nd, a day that in Bétera marks the transition between the current year's festivities and the welcome to those of the following year.
Following the Octave Mass, the entrance of the Puríssima Concepció parish church became the stage where residents eagerly awaited the emergence of the 'Obreras' from the Casa Abadía. They carried small, wrapped scrolls, known as 'Les Bolletes,' containing the names of the future main representatives. This year, the messages were written by Mireia García Ricart, Nathalie Martínez Arnal, Daniela Ferriol Fuentes, and Gely Garañana Escribano, the 'Obreras' of 2026.
The Mayor of Bétera, Elia Verdevío, highlighted the emotional significance of this day, while the Councillor for Festivities, Manuel Pérez, noted the bittersweet nature of the occasion, which concludes the current festivities and ushers in those of 2027. The selection process, broadcast live on the City Council's social media, is one of the most anticipated moments for the citizens.
The day concluded with the official presentation of the 2027 'Obreras' at the Alameda, following the farewell of the 2026 'Obreras' and 'Mayorales'. The event was followed by a concert by Demarco Flamenco, organized by the City Council.
