The event, scheduled for Sunday, August 9 at 12 PM, aims to be a tribute to transhumance, recalling the passage of livestock through Algimia's ancient drovers' roads. This rural bull run will be the grand finale to a week of bullfighting celebrations.
The route, spanning four kilometers, will begin at the foothills of the Picayo viewpoint. The bulls, from the 'el Gallo' ranch, will run through the ravine and Futur street to reach the bullring. Several horsemen will accompany and guide the cattle to the corral. The event will have a special Civil Protection deployment, as announced by Mayor Ernest Buralla.
As an additional attraction, on the afternoon of Saturday, August 8, a 'toro cerril' (a bull raised for bullfighting) from the Enrique Serrano ranch in Cáceres, organized by the 'el Llit' club, will be featured. The bullfighting day will conclude with 'toros embolados' (bulls with flaming balls attached to their horns) and a DJ session starting at 5 AM.
