The objective is to co-create community responses to the climate emergency within the citizen laboratory Eco-anxiety and Climate Change. This initiative is part of the international project Cli-Mind, funded by the SPRINT program of the UMH and São Paulo's FAPESP.
The proposal seeks to analyze the relationship between the climate emergency, the emotional well-being of young people, and public communication about climate change. The laboratory is led by Antonio Lafuente, an expert in citizen science and participatory methodologies.
Following an initial phase at the UMH campus in Elche, this experience in Brazil will allow for a comparison of how the same global challenge is perceived and addressed from different social and territorial contexts.
The UMH team, led by professor María Pastor, includes professors Alba García, Alicia de Lara, and Jesús Mula. During their stay, the delegation visited the UESB's university media outlets and met with its faculty to explore future academic and scientific collaborations.
