The Association of Tourist Companies of Elche (AETE) reported that the average price per room stood at 102.12 euros, an increase of 4.01 euros compared to July 2025. This rise is in line with the increased costs faced by tourism businesses, maintaining stable profitability.
The majority of users, 67.8%, were on vacation, while 32.2% were on business trips. Occupancy was consistent throughout the month, with peaks close to technical full capacity on weekends in some establishments.
National tourism accounted for 56% of visitors, compared to 44% international tourism. Among foreign visitors, those from the United Kingdom (23.9%), France (20.3%), the Netherlands (7.5%), Belgium (6.9%), Italy (6.2%), Germany (5.5%), Poland (4.6%), Ireland (4.3%), and Norway (4.3%) were prominent.
Nationally, hotel occupancy in June was 65.6%, with an average stay of 3.17 days and an average rate of 137.11 euros per occupied room.
Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport handled 2,341,007 passengers in July, an 11.1% increase year-on-year. The cumulative figure for 2026 already exceeds 12.4 million.
Looking ahead to August, good results are expected, according to AETE. The Elche festivities concluded with a 96% occupancy rate, and the entire month is anticipated to maintain values similar to those achieved in 2025.
