Elche's governing team has invested 631,680 euros in concerts for the patron saint festivals, aiming for a year-on-year increase in quality, as acknowledged by the Festejos councilor, Inma Mora. The musical lineup includes renowned artists such as Marta Sánchez and Carlos Baute at Hort de Baix, alongside a 'festivalization' of the municipal tent.
The concerts are concentrated in two main locations: the municipal tent, located in the Altabix parking lot of the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), and Hort de Baix. This year, a third alcohol-free youth tent is introduced in the La Galia parking lot of the university, aimed at minors, which also includes awareness sessions on alcohol and drug consumption.
The Governing Board has approved the contracts for these cycles. Palmarés SL will be responsible for the Hort de Baix performances for 217,255 euros, featuring artists like Marta Sánchez, Carlos Baute, and Miguel Poveda. These concerts will begin on August 8th.
The municipal tent at the UMH has been contracted for 266,805 euros to Producciones Baltimore, promoters of the Elche Oasis Music Fest. Performing artists include groups like Siloé, Sidecars, OBK, Chimo Bayo, and Celtas Cortos, as well as urban music acts like Lia Kali and Juicy Bae.
The contract for the Barraca Joven Elx Music Fest has been awarded for 147,620 euros to Sindi Producciones. This local production company will be responsible for various themed parties, local DJs, and preventive workshops. Administrative procedures were rushed to the last minute, with the contract formalized on August 7th, coinciding with the first concert date.
These concerts are in addition to performances at L'Escorxador and Racó de Ocio, which also offer concerts, including local bands. Furthermore, the contract for the Nit de l’Albà 2026 pyrotechnic show has been finalized with Pirotecnia Ferrández for 193,538 euros, which will include a new firing zone at Paseo de Jaca and increased funding for more spectacular mascletàs (firecracker displays).
