The Elche City Council, through its Sports department, has concluded the comprehensive renovation and accessibility optimization works in the bathrooms and changing rooms of the Carrús Sports Center. This project, carried out over the summer, involved an investment exceeding 70,000 euros.
Once the work is completed, the next step will be the installation of all the furniture. The aim is for these renovated spaces to be fully operational by September, coinciding with the start of the new sports season in the city.
The councilor for the area, José Antonio Román, highlighted the municipal commitment to promoting inclusion and facilitating access to sports for all citizens. According to Román, the Elche City Council "continues to support, back, and promote sports in Elche, not only through events for the Mediterranean Capital of Sport but also by investing in facility improvements, thereby enhancing the quality of services and the well-being of Elche's residents".
These facility upgrades also represent a significant step forward in the accessibility of this space, thus promoting inclusion and making sports practice easier for all citizens.
