The Socialist municipal group of Elche has requested that the personnel selection process for the new parks and gardens contract be transparent for all citizens.

The political group has emphasized the need for the nearly 70 workers who will join the new concessionaire to be able to access the jobs under equal conditions. According to the group's spokesperson, it is essential that any interested person has the same opportunities to apply for these vacancies.
On the other hand, the importance of maintaining the commitment to the current municipal staff has been raised. The proposal includes covering positions that become vacant due to retirement, thus avoiding a progressive reduction of the public staff dedicated to this maintenance service.
Finally, the Socialist group has proposed strengthening municipal control over the execution of the contract. The goal is to create specific inspection positions that allow for supervising that the awarded company complies with the conditions established in the specifications, a task that currently does not have inspectors dedicated exclusively to green zones in Elche.
