National Police agents have dismantled a criminal organization in Elche dedicated to drug trafficking, arresting seven individuals and seizing various narcotics and cash.

The police operation, resulting from a joint investigation between the Alicante, Elche, and Albacete Police Stations, has led to the arrest of seven individuals, aged between 31 and 43, for their alleged involvement in drug trafficking and criminal group membership. The investigation focused on a retail drug dealing point in a residence in Elche that had already been dismantled three times previously but had resurfaced due to numerous neighborhood complaints.
Investigators established surveillance operations that confirmed a high volume of people accessing the property to purchase narcotics. Through these observations, they identified the members of the criminal group, who had distinct roles within the organization, such as drug storage, money collection, and distribution. It was also determined that the group supplied other retail drug dealing locations.
During the operational phase, a police deployment resulted in four simultaneous raids in Elche. In addition to the seven arrests (six men and one woman), 85 grams of cocaine, 45 grams of marijuana, 6,850 euros in cash, three precision scales, two mobile phones, and three bladed weapons were seized. The main dealing point featured reinforced security measures, including four access doors secured with chains.
The arrested individuals have been brought before the judicial authorities. The main suspect, who allegedly ran most of the drug dealing points in Elche and had a history of similar arrests, has been remanded in custody by judicial order.
