The eighth edition of the contest, named ‘Verano en el Clot. Luz y paisaje’ (Summer at El Clot. Light and Landscape), invites both amateur and professional photographers to immortalize the beauty of the El Clot de Galvany Municipal Natural Park during the summer season. The initiative is organized by the Environment Department of the Elche City Council along with the mixed company Aigües d’Elx.
Participants can submit their works through the official website www.clotdegalvany.es and the social media channels of El Clot de Galvany (Instagram, Facebook, and X). The submission period for photographs will run from July 10 to September 22.
Photographs must reflect the proposed theme, emphasizing the interaction between natural light and the park's landscapes. Technical edits such as brightness, contrast, and sharpness are accepted, but montages and AI-generated creations are excluded. Each participant can submit a maximum of 5 photographs.
According to the Environment Councilor, J. Antonio Román, the objective is to “collect in an exhibition an authentic vision, a genuine interpretation from the visitors who come to the park”. The works selected by the jury will be exhibited in a traveling exhibition that will tour Elche's social and educational centers.
Three cash prizes will be awarded. The first prize is 625 euros, the second is 250 euros, and the third is 100 euros. These prizes will be chosen by popular vote.
